FAQ

I’m new to therapy. What can I expect in our first session?
Welcome!
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. You’ll share what’s been coming up for you, and I’ll ask a few questions to help understand your story and what you’re looking for. You don’t need to have all the words or a clear “goal”—just come as you are.
We’ll go at your pace. No pressure. No expectations. Just real conversation.
-
What issues do you help with?
I work with adults and couples navigating a range of emotional and relational challenges, including:
Anxiety, depression, ADHD and executive functioning difficulties, Relationship issues, Trauma and unresolved family dynamics, Identity exploration and emotional disconnection and much more.
If something you're carrying isn’t listed here, reach out—chances are we can explore it together.
-
Do you work with men?
Yes—supporting men is one of my specialties and passions.
I often work with men who are thoughtful, capable, and outwardly successful—but internally feel anxious, lost, or emotionally disconnected. Whether you’ve been taught to “tough it out,” or just never had the space to explore what you’re really feeling, therapy can help you reconnect with yourself in a grounded, meaningful way.
-
What is psychodynamic therapy?
Psychodynamic therapy explores the deeper roots of your emotional experiences. It helps you understand how your early relationships and unconscious patterns may be influencing your present-day life, relationships, and self-perception.
It’s not just about analyzing the past—it’s about loosening stuck patterns, developing insight, and experiencing more authentic connection and freedom in the present.
-
What’s relational therapy?
Relational therapy emphasizes the importance of relationships in shaping our emotional lives. In our work together, your relationship with yourself, others, and even with me as your therapist becomes a rich ground for healing and change.
Many of my clients appreciate that therapy isn’t one-sided—I’m engaged, present, and collaborative.
-
What is EFT therapy?
